THE DREAM ENGINE

In 1969 Jim Steinman was in College where he wrote his first Masterpiece for the stage, The Dream Engine. It was the story of a young boy named Baal who was the leader of a group of wild boys called The Tribe who lived outside The City. Their mortal enemies were Max (played by Stephen "7th Heaven" Collins) and Emily, the Parents of The Girl, a young woman with whom Baal had fallen in love. Jim Steinman played Baal in this momentous show. This show was remade 8 years later as Jim Steinman's Neverland.
